Update for 4/30-5/7

Hello just wanted to give a brief summary of what we are doing in music. Last week 3rd-5th began working on their hip hop unit. 3rd is learning the history of hip hop. 4th is learning about women in hip hop. 5th will be learning about women in hip hop as well as hip hop around the world. 5th is also working on their promotion song. If you have not gotten the link yet please follow the instructions from the post a little farther down this page. K-1 worked on songs about birds. K learned how to use the rests in music and 1st learned to recognize the repeat sign. 2nd worked on Ostinato, AB form, Introduction, and Coda. We are using the orff instruments and are trying to create a song with a beginning, a two part middle, and an ending. I hope to have video of that soon.
