It's been a while since the last announcement but here is what is going on in music for the month of February:
- The Black History Celebration will be Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 6:00pm. All grade levels will be represented. Participating students will receive extra credit towards their music grade. Please arrive starting at 5:30 so we can line up and get started on time. Everyone is invited to attend!
- Students in 3rd-5th Grade will have a quiz on famous African American musicians that we have been studying since January. Students have taken notes in class and the quiz will be from those notes. Please help your child study. The quizzes will be ten questions and will be held at the end of February.
- 3rd Grade has learned about Scott Joplin
- 4th Grade has learned about Thomas A. Dorsey
- 5th Grade has learned about Freddie King, B. B. King, and Albert King
